TikTok Analytics
Engagement, views and posting habits of any public account.
Public accounts only. Private profiles stay private.
To see the analytics of any TikTok account, enter its username on tik.observer and the Stats tab opens. tik.observer is a free anonymous TikTok viewer: from the account's public videos it works out the engagement rate, usual views, reach, the views of each video, top videos, posting days and times, and estimated earnings, with no login.
How do I check a TikTok account's analytics?
- Copy the username from TikTok, with or without the @, or the link to the profile.
- Paste it into the box above and press View. A quick security check may appear first.
- The Stats tab opens. Scroll the Videos tab to load older videos, and the numbers update with them.
What the analytics show
- Engagement rate: likes, comments, shares and saves per view
- Usual views, the average views and reach: usual views per follower
- Likes, comments, shares and saves per video, and the average length
- A table of views for every video, newest or most viewed first, with the engagement of each
- The top videos by views and the most engaging one
- Posting habits: videos per week, the usual posting time, the busiest weekdays and the longest break
- Account age, likes per follower and estimated Creator Rewards earnings
How is the TikTok engagement rate calculated?
tik.observer adds up the likes, comments, shares and saves of the loaded videos and divides them by their views. Some calculators divide by followers instead. The two give different numbers for the same account, so compare rates only when they are counted the same way.
| Method | Formula | What it tells you |
|---|---|---|
| Per view (tik.observer) | (likes + comments + shares + saves) ÷ views × 100 | How people react to the videos they watched |
| Per follower | interactions ÷ followers × 100 | How active the audience is for its size |
Every video in the views table has its own rate as well, so you can see which videos people reacted to most.
Why usual views and not the average?
One viral video can lift the average far above what most videos get. Usual views is the median: half the videos got more, half got less. The average sits next to it, so a big gap between the two points to one or two hits. Reach compares usual views with the follower count: above 100% means the videos usually get more views than the account has followers.
TikTok's own analytics or tik.observer?
| TikTok analytics | tik.observer | |
|---|---|---|
| Any public account, not only yours | ✕ | ✓ |
| No TikTok account needed | ✕ | ✓ |
| Views, likes, comments and shares per video | ✓ | ✓ |
| Watch time and traffic sources | ✓ | ✕ |
| Audience age, gender and location | ✓ | ✕ |
Watch time, traffic sources and audience details are private to the creator, so no outside tool can show them for someone else's account.
What the analytics can't show
- Private accounts. Their videos are closed, so there is nothing to count. Their follower and like totals still show in Account info.
- Follower history. TikTok doesn't publish it. To watch followers change, use the Live follower count.
- Older videos before they load. The numbers cover the videos loaded so far. Scroll the Videos tab to include more.
- Brand deals, LIVE gifts and shop sales. They are private, so the earnings estimate covers Creator Rewards only.
Questions
Can I see analytics for someone else's TikTok?
Yes, for any public account. tik.observer counts what TikTok shows publicly: the views, likes, comments, shares and saves of each video, and the account's totals.
Will they know I looked?
No. tik.observer loads public TikTok data from its own server, so your TikTok account is never involved. Nothing appears in their profile views or story viewers.
Is the engagement rate per view or per follower?
Per view: likes, comments, shares and saves divided by views. It shows how people react to what they watched, whatever the size of the account.
Why do the numbers change as I scroll?
They are counted from the videos loaded so far. Scrolling the Videos tab loads older ones and adds them in.
Does it work with private accounts?
No. Only public accounts have videos to count. The follower and like totals of a private account still show in Account info and the Live follower count.
Do I need a TikTok account?
No. There is no sign-up and no app. Type a username or paste a link, and it opens in your browser.
Is it free?
Yes. Every tool on tik.observer is free, with no limits for normal use.
