Where do downloaded files go?
- iPhone and iPad: to Downloads in the Files app. To move a video to Photos, open it in Files, tap Share, then Save Video.
- Android: to the Downloads folder, which you can open in the Files app or from the browser's menu.
- Computer: to your browser's downloads folder, usually Downloads.
Why won't a video download?
- The video is private or deleted. Only public videos open here.
- The page was open for a long time. TikTok's file links stop working after some hours. Reload the page and try again.
- The link isn't a TikTok video. Copy it again with Share, then Copy link.
- The connection dropped. Large 1080p files take longer on a slow connection. Try again or pick the standard quality.
Respect the creator
Videos and sounds belong to the people who made them. Save them for yourself, and ask the creator before you post their video anywhere else. TikTok lets creators decide whether others may download their videos in the app, which is a good sign of what they want.
